The Sculptor

Modern, eloquent and flooded with natural light. This space offers two unique shooting locations. The downstairs has an L-shaped cyclorama wall which faces a 20x12 foot south-facing window. On the other side of the room sits a timeless white Mario Bellini Sofa, paired with a modern Knoll Wassily leather chair and a real marble statue. In the morning, directly light hits the wall where the furniture sits. This creates perfect even light on the cyc wall on the opposite side of the room. In the afternoon the hard light moves to the cyc wall, creating beautiful hard light and shadows across the length of the cyc wall. There’s a built in granite counter makeup station with two vanity mirrors and stools.

The upstairs is also showered in beautiful natural light as it sits under a 12x6 foot skylight. The theme upstairs is luscious green and gold. The back wall has been painted to create a beautiful distressed backdrop. The side wall is covered in luxurious gold velvet drapes. The Jeannerete Kangaroom chairs, the wicker daybed, the white shag rug and the potted plants create a classy vibe.

How’s the Light?

7 am - 11:30 am: direct light on the wall with crown molding

11:30 am - 1 pm: direct light on the floor and throughout the room

1 pm - 6 pm: direct light on the cyclorama wall

In the summer months, the sun's path is further north, which gives a soft ambient light all day long with little variation throughout the day.

In the winter months, the direct light shines far into the studio.
